Today was amazingly hot. Although luckily I think I am finally getting used to it, because everyone else seemed to be complaining (and not doing much) but I never got bogged down. I just sweat. A lot. At lunch I jumped in Adam’s car to get over to Samudra Sri and his car said 41 Degrees. Celsius! For all of you who don’t embrace the metric system, that means its super hot. To be more specific it was 106° at that moment, and I was working for 10 hours. Wowza.
I was rewarded though. I managed to see some interesting things and get a few pictures from my ‘tower of death’.

I was waiting for a joust fight to break out. No luck.
Traffic was heavy on the water. Two boats coming in to pick their nets and 3 going out for another set. (I was watching them pick the nets, and they didn’t catch much. Bummer)
I also managed to catch a good bit of wildlife today.

Not a snake, but still dangerous
Despite this looking like a snake, it’s actually about a 5 ft monitor lizard. This is the second time I’ve seen him as he tends to hang around the fishing camp next door, but it’s the first I managed a picture. He is a beefy fellow, certainly one I would not want to cross.

Could you have found him without the arrow?
Saw quite a few wild parrots today, although this is the only one I could seem to get a picture of. They blend in well so I took the liberty of adding an arrow for you.

He won't save you money on your car insurance.
And finally I caught this little guy while I was at Samudra Sri for lunch. He was pretty scared, but ended up holding still long enough for a picture. He was let go harm free.

Hopefully it doesn't live up to it's name..
Even with all that wildlife distracting me, and the power being out, I managed to finish the second level of the tower. You might be wondering how I will get onto the 2nd deck since there is no ladder. I remember early enough and left 2 boards out, as a sort of ‘trap door’. Here’s the hole and 2 of my ‘helpers’.

They like the new view..
Just as I was finishing the sun was setting, which worked out perfectly.

The best news I heard all day. Time to go.
I am absolutely wiped after such a busy day, so I’m going to end early, hope you enjoy the pictures!
